About Jim Barne.
Since reading Music at King’s College London majoring in composition and studying Voice at the Royal Academy of Music, Jim has worked in many different areas of the industry including film, theatre, & pop production. During his time at university he won the London Chamber Orchestra New Explore Competition.
Jim has studied composition under 2009 British composer of the year Graham Fitkin, Film Composer Hugo de Chaire and Emmy Award-winning composer Hummie Mann.
Recent work includes ‘The Season’ a new musical written in collaboration with lyricist Kit Buchan (winner of the 2018 Stiles & Drewe Mentorship Award), composing the score for indie horror ‘The Unseen’ (winner of Best Original Score at Horror Haus Film Festival 2018), and orchestrations for ‘Crooked House’ adapted by Julian Fellowes dir. Gilles Paquet-Brenner.
